The Perfect Getaway In Sonoma County

I had wanted to visit Sonoma County for a long time and once COVID began to lessen, we booked our trip. Coming from Boston, we wanted to see a few different sections of California, so we dedicated 3 days to Sonoma.
We are wine lovers so Sonoma was an obvious first stop. I wanted to find a hotel that was in the vineyards. The Vintner's Resort was the obvious choice. We had an amazing view of the vineyards from our room and were able to take a walk in the vineyards in the morning after our coffee.
The Vintner’s Resort was absolutely beautiful. The grounds had beautiful fountains and lots of plants and flowers. The restaurant, John Ash and Co., had an amazing view of the vineyards and some of the best food I’ve had in a while. We sat outside under the canopy right next to the vineyard. This hotel has a

beautiful meeting facility and can host business meetings and group events and weddings. They have an amazing space to have a ceremony that overlooks the vineyard (amazing view).
Though we didn’t have time to get a spa treatment, I highly recommend the spa because it was beautiful and looked so relaxing. Due to high demand, it is important to reserve 2-3 weeks ahead at the spa because it is very popular.
The rooms at the Vintner’s Resort are spacious, updated and very tastefully decorated. They have balconies that either overlook the courtyards or the vineyards. It was very relaxing and quiet throughout the resort.

Another thing I love about the Vintner's Resort is the proximity to wineries. There are so many wonderful wineries close by. Vintner’s Resort set up a wine tour with Pure Luxury Transportation, which gave us peace of mind not to have to worry about driving while we were wine tasting. We wanted to visit a small, medium and large winery. They helped us choose 3 Enriquez Winery, Iron Horse Vineyards, and Kendall Jackson Winery.

More about our wine tour in a future blog.
Overall, the Vintner’s Resort was the perfect weekend getaway. There is so much to do in Sonoma, wineries, spas, restaurants. The Vintner’s Resort was the perfect place to come home to after a busy day in Sonoma County.
Special Note:
Please keep in mind that throughout the country, hotels and restaurants are struggling to find staff, so please make reservations and be patient with the staff and tip well. Hotel and restaurant workers are working really hard to make sure guests are having a great experience—but sometimes there just isn’t enough of them.
